The Southern Aroostook Agricultural Museum is about much more than tractors, diggers, and agriculture. It is comprised of several buildings filled with thousands of items that were part of rural life in Aroostook County, Maine's largest and northernmost county. Anchored by a former school that has been transformed into the original museum, the property houses two large barns, a one-room schoolhouse, a general store, a filling station and a blacksmith/barrel shop. Come explore this huge collection!
Take a peak at the many buildings on the museum grounds that house our extensive collections.
Browse videos about our museum, explore our online collection of artifacts and see us in the news.
Support our efforts to preserve the agricultural heritage of Aroostook County for the next generation.
From June to September, we are open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 1:00pm to 4:00pm and by appointment.
From October to May, tours are limited to large groups (by appointment) and open to the general public from 3:00pm to 4:30pm on public supper days. Please see our upcoming events and plan to join us at the next public supper!
